The day marked the launch of Mahmoud Bakr Hijazi in 1974, the first Palestinian to be released in the exchange of prisoners with Israel.
Later the day was decided to respect all Palestinian prisoners and highlight Israel’s sustainable arrest against Palestinians and violations of their rights.
Currently, there are almost 10,000 Palestinians who are arrested in Israeli prisons in Israel and the occupied territory, according to the group of rights of admirers.
For the Palestinians, they are political prisoners that must be released. Of those who were arrested: 3,498 detainees without charge or court, 400 were children, 27 were women, 299 life convictions.
Administrative prisoners, including women and children, can be arrested by the military for a six -month period that can be updated based on “confidential evidence” that their prisoners should not be seen.
400 Children’s Prisoners, the case of Ahmad Manasra
Israel is the only country in the world that judges children in military courts, which often ignore their basic rights.
According to the defense of Palestinian children, about 500 to 700 Palestinian children are arrested and prosecuted in the Israeli judicial system every year, some of whom are 12 years old.
The most common accusation is to throw stones, crimes that can be punished based on the military law up to 20 years in prison.
Currently, 400 Palestinian children are still in Israeli prison, most of them are in custody and have not been sentenced to any rape.
