Montessori School celebrates Teachers’ Day with creativity, gratitude, and joy. Teachers were honored with artistic performances and a heartfelt message from their principal.
THEMED CELEBRATION
This year, the ceremony was themed after a Las Vegas casino, with all attendees, including students and faculty, dressed in swashbuckling attire, filling the courtyard with color, lights, and excitement.
The fifth-grade students were in charge of the celebration, organizing artistic performances, shows, and choreography that included giant cards, roulette wheels, and elements from the casino world. Each performance was a carefully prepared tribute to surprise their teachers.
The general manager and director of Montessori School, Hugo Aguilar González, delivered a moving message to the teachers of Montessori School and Montessori Conecta, the in-person and virtual schools respectively, highlighting their essential role in Montessori pedagogy.
“Today we celebrate and value Teachers’ Day as the essential source of educational methodology that Dr. Maria Montessori proposed, and which we practice. We celebrate and value the patience and love with which they educate our students every day, giving them freedom, respect, and a love for education,” she said.
Aguilar also recalled the institution’s vision. “This school, inspired by Dr. Maria Montessori, inspires us to educate our students in freedom and peace, and you, teachers, make it possible for us to fulfill that vision. You inspire in every student. As president of the Board of Directors of Grupo Educativo Montessori, I would like to convey to you, through myself, the greetings of all the management, administrative, and service staff, as well as our students. Happy Teachers’ Day!” he concluded.
RECOGNITION
During the ceremony, teachers received gifts and recognition for their daily dedication, while students expressed their affection with words, applause, and an atmosphere filled with gratitude and celebration, demonstrating that teaching is an act of love that leaves a lasting mark.
